Me

My name is Charity Ondriezek (pronounced Ahn-dreh-zeck). See, it’s easy! My interests center around books, art, movies, music and web design/development. I’m a freelance designer by trade, but I can probably best be described as self-teacher. At the risk of sounding cheeeeezy, I like people-watching, playing cards, live concerts, snow skiing and travel. I’ve been all over Europe, visited nearly half of the U.S., and recently took my first trip to Central America. My family includes husband John and and two spirited kids. I also have a handful of friends I adore. My life blessed in many ways. Here’s a few more places you can find me…

The Design

I get bored quickly, so writing about a design in place today would make this blurb obsolete tomorrow. Suffice to say it changes often, but it will always be coded with the industry standards - XHTML (Transitional) and CSS. I can’t say it’ll always be valid. I mean let’s face it - affiliate programs and widgets usually f*** things up. ;)

The Back-end

This site is managed by an open source application called WordPress. Originally intended to function as blogging software, WordPress is customizable and extensible enough to operate as a full content management system (CMS). It also produces search engine friendly, semantically correct code, which is good for everyone.

The Future

I enjoy writing, and creating WordPress themes. Right now those two activities are my main focus, but more ideas for expansion have crossed my mind. Things like a themes club, CSS template gallery, a theme support forum, and perhaps even a marketplace of sorts. So many ideas, so little time.
