About

My name is Charity Ondriezek (pronounced Ahn-dreh-zeck). It looks harder to say than it is. I’m a book junkie, music enthusiast and collector of inspiration -  but my passion is centered in web design and development. You could say I’m a freelancer by trade, but my most demanding (and rewarding) job is Mom.

Philosophy

My best quality is probably that I love to learn and I’m a good self-teacher. I enjoy studying and writing about design, Photoshop and WordPress mainly. My latest fascinations also include photography and typography – both of which I’m an amateur at. My worst quality is that I often try to do too many things at once, or too much on my own. I’m not very good at asking for help. When that bogs me down, I try to keep this passage in mind:

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. – Matthew 6:34

Design

I’m a great admirer of minimalism, and while I don’t claim to be an expert at it (especially since I’m still learning to use type effectively), I do tend to lean toward simple designs for this site more often than not. In some cases the styles I’ve chosen for Adaptations are nothing more than experiments… or temporary solutions to my boredom. :) You may even see things changing in front of your eyes  from time to time. I know that’s a mortal sin according to some designers, but I’m ok with that.
