You can also use a contracting service called http://www.rentacoder.com. This is how I personally found a developer for my website. The site is a reverse auction type service, where the lowest bidder may win your business, depending on how reliable they are (they have ratings).

They abandoned me in the middle of a project. Had to hire somebody else and made me look like a fool to my client.

Htmlblender.com sucks. They missed several deadlines of mine and I’ve given them too many chances to redeem themselves. If you don’t mind being strung along use them.

I had an excellent experience with HTML Blender. They sliced a very complex page with 5 javascript transitions for under $200 and got the first iteration in less than 3 days. The rep “Josh” was very responsive and my designer was pleased with the quality of the code.

I use mypsdtohtml.com. the quality is excellent and you can choose the turnaround, as i read they have 24 programmers which is very good because they always can be reliable. another thing is the seo position is brilliant for a young company which is already first page in yahoo and very well in google.

http://www.mypsdtohtml.com starts couple of months after the middle of 2008 year and they are already in the first page in Yahoo and Seond in Google. They have more than 300 customers and I am one of them. The code is excellent even in mac browsers, another thing is: I asked for 3 days and I got the code before the deadline, with an inmediatly reply to my question. Beeing a young company and successful so far is a good thing for these guys!
