Pink for October

Sep 21st, 07 | 5 remarks

I'm going Pink for OctoberOctober is drawing near, and if you haven’t already, it’s time to consider Going Pink! Last year over 1500 websites went pink to promote breast cancer awareness during the month of October, thanks to Matthew and his Pink for October campaign.

June marked my mother’s fifth year as a survivor, so this subject is near and dear to my heart. I’m very excited to announce Design Adaptations will be on board! In fact, I’ve been thinking about a refresh for October since learning of the initiative last year! :)

There’s still time to put together your own pink theme, or you can download the one I’ll be releasing next week, that I’ve dubbed Pink Adaptations. (I wish I could tell you it’s ready now, but I need to correct a few positioning issues with the header and sidebar.)

Natalie of Standards for Life has also released a few very lovely themes in preparation, or you can pick up a badge or button to promote the initiative.

I invite you to join in promoting such a worthy cause, and hope to see you in Pink!

Glad to see I won’t be alone. Casual Keystrokes is going to go pink for October - and you won’t want to miss the giveaway I’ll have next week because it is very appropriate for the occasion.

I can’t wait to see what you unveil!

  2. Charity

Great Char! I had a feeling you’d be joining in too. :) Now you’ve got my curiosity piqued. Anxious to see what the prize is!
